Direct replacement charger

The Kastar NP-FC11 AC wall charger replaces the Sony BC-VC10 and works with Sony NP-FC11 and NP-FC10 lithium-ion batteries. It suits owners of older Cyber-shot models such as the DSC-P series and DSC-F77 who need a compact spare or replacement unit.

4.2 V 600 mA DC output

The charger accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers a fixed 4.2 V DC at 600 mA. This single output specification determines whether it will correctly charge your NP-FC11 or NP-FC10 pack without over- or under-voltage.

Low heat and silent operation

In normal use the unit runs cool and produces no audible noise thanks to its simple linear design and foldable flat plug. The red LED shows active charging while green indicates standby or a full cell, so you can leave it unattended without concern.

Questions about this item

What does the 4.2 V 600 mA output mean when the charger is plugged into a Sony NP-FC11 battery?

It delivers the exact voltage and current the NP-FC11 lithium-ion cell expects, so the battery charges at its designed rate without over-voltage risk.

How does the AC 100-240 V 50-60 Hz input affect use in different countries?

The wide-range input lets you plug the charger into any mains supply from 100 V to 240 V at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz, so only a simple plug adapter is needed abroad.

What space does the 3 x 2 x 1 inch body with foldable flat pins need in a bag or outlet?

The cube measures roughly three by two by one inches, and the pins fold flush so it occupies minimal depth in a socket and packs flat in a pouch.
