NP-FF70 Battery Kit for Sony Handycam

This pack supplies two 7.2 V lithium-ion batteries rated at 1800 mAh and a matching AC wall charger. It is designed for owners of compatible Sony DCR and IP series camcorders who need spare power for extended recording sessions.

AC 100–240 V Charger with Foldable Plug

The charger accepts worldwide mains voltage from 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA. A red LED shows charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge. The foldable flat pins reduce bulk for travel but the unit only charges the supplied NP-FF type cells.

1800 mAh Capacity Determines Run Time

Each battery stores 13 Wh at 7.2 V, giving roughly 1800 mAh of usable charge. Users needing longer continuous operation than a single cell provides should plan for additional packs because this kit includes exactly two batteries and no higher-capacity option is offered.

Questions about this item

One pack or two — how many batteries come in the box?

The pack includes two NP-FF70 batteries plus the AC wall charger, so you have a spare ready when the first runs low.

What does the 1800 mAh rating mean for recording time on my camcorder?

At 7.2 V the battery stores 1800 mAh; actual recording time depends on the camcorder's power draw, so check the device's own consumption figure.

The charger plugs into the wall — what input voltage does it accept?

The charger takes AC 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, so it works on mains power worldwide without a separate transformer.
