NP-FF70 twin pack with dual USB charger

This set supplies two 7.2V lithium-ion batteries rated at 13Wh each plus an LTD2 charger that powers both cells simultaneously. It is aimed at owners of compatible Sony camcorders who need reliable spare power for long shoots or travel.

Replaces Sony NP-FF50, NP-FF51 and NP-FF71 series

The pack directly substitutes original NP-FF50, NP-FF51, NP-FF70 and NP-FF71 batteries. The jump is worthwhile when your existing cells no longer hold a full day’s charge or when you want a charger that accepts both Micro-USB and Type-C inputs at 5V 2-3A.

Questions about this item

What battery compartment size do the NP-FF70 packs require?

They are direct replacements for Sony NP-FF70, NP-FF71 and NP-FF71S cells, so they fit any handycam or camcorder that accepts those models.

How do I charge both batteries at once with the LTD2 unit?

Insert both packs into the dual slots, connect the charger via Micro-USB or Type-C to a 5 V 2–3 A source, and the LCD shows each cell’s progress independently.

When should I replace the 1800 mAh lithium-ion cells?

Replace them when run-time drops noticeably or the charger’s LCD indicates a cell no longer reaches full capacity after a normal charge cycle.
