Kastar NP-FF70 Battery Kit

The Kastar NP-FF70 kit supplies one lithium-ion battery rated at 13 Wh and 7.2 V plus an AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug. It replaces Sony NP-FF70, NP-FF71 and NP-FF71S packs for compatible Handycam models.

AC 100-240 V Charger Limits

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers DC 8.4 V at 600 mA. A red LED shows charging; green indicates standby or full charge. The foldable pins aid storage but the unit only operates from mains power.

13 Wh Capacity Decides Fit

The battery stores 13 Wh at 1800 mAh, which determines runtime for the listed Sony DCR and DCR-PC camcorders. Buyers who need longer recording time per charge cannot meet that need with this pack.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the NP-FF70, NP-FF71 or NP-FF71S battery for my camera?

The kit works with all three models — NP-FF70, NP-FF71 and NP-FF71S — so choose the one that matches your camera's original battery label.

What does the 13 Wh capacity mean for actual shooting time?

At 7.2 V and 1800 mAh the pack delivers 13 Wh, giving roughly the same run-time as the original Sony NP-FF70 battery in compatible Handycam models.

What does the charger's 8.4 V 600 mA output cap in practice?

The wall charger supplies 8.4 V at up to 600 mA, so a full charge from empty takes about three hours; the LED shows red while charging and green when complete.
