Dual USB charger for Sony NP-FT1 batteries

The Kastar NP-FT1 charger accepts two Sony NP-FT1 or Type T cells simultaneously. It draws 5 V at 2–3 A from either a Micro-USB or USB-C source and supplies 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot. An LCD panel shows charge status and remaining capacity for each battery. The unit measures 5 by 3 by 1 inches and includes a Micro-USB cable.

Charging speed and power-source limits

Each bay delivers a fixed 800 mA, so two depleted cells need roughly the same wall-clock time as one. The 15 W input ceiling means a 5 V 3 A adapter is the minimum for full dual-bay speed; lower-output ports will throttle both slots equally. No AC plug is built in, so a separate USB power supply or powered hub is required.
