The Kastar NP-FV50 LTD2 charges two compatible Sony batteries simultaneously using interchangeable plates. It accepts Micro-USB or USB Type-C input at 5V 2-3A and delivers 8.4V at 800mA per slot. An integrated LCD shows real-time charging status and remaining capacity for each battery. The unit ships with a Micro-USB cable and requires no separate AC adapter.

Capacity and Headroom

Two NP-FV50, NP-FV70, NP-FV70A or NP-FV100 packs can be replenished at once, so a day-long shoot with a spare set stays powered. Output is fixed at 800mA per channel, so larger-capacity cells take proportionally longer to reach full charge. The 15W input ceiling means both bays run at rated current only when the source supplies at least 3A; at 2A the charger splits available power between slots.

Interchangeable Plate System

The charger relies on swappable plates to match each battery form factor, so it cannot charge any pack without the correct plate installed. Plates for the listed Sony NP-FV models are included, but other chemistries or brands are not supported.
