Two NP-FZ100 batteries and a wall charger

This set supplies two 7.2 V lithium-ion cells rated at 2280 mAh (16.4 Wh) plus a compact AC charger with a foldable flat plug. It is aimed at photographers and videographers using Sony Alpha 7R V, FX30 or other listed mirrorless and cinema bodies who need spare power for long shoots.

Sustained output from the 2280 mAh cells

Each battery delivers 7.2 V through the camera’s native regulation, so voltage remains stable during continuous recording or burst sequences. The charger accepts 100–240 V AC at 50–60 Hz and supplies 8.4 V at 600 mA, recharging both packs sequentially without overheating during extended studio sessions.

Simple drop-in installation

Batteries match the NP-FZ100 form factor exactly and click into the camera or the VG-C3EM grip without force. The charger’s LED shows red while charging and green when full or on standby, eliminating guesswork. Users who need simultaneous charging of both packs will require a second charger, as this unit handles one battery at a time.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the charger produce when left plugged in all day?

The wall charger runs silently with no fan, and its 8.4 V 600 mA output generates only modest warmth during the 2280 mAh charge cycle.

What must I already own for these batteries to work in my camera?

A Sony camera that accepts NP-FZ100 cells — such as the Alpha 7R V, FX30, Alpha 1 or A6600 — plus the camera itself.

Will the charger still operate correctly on a 100 V supply if I travel to Japan?

Yes, the input range covers AC 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, so it works worldwide without a voltage converter.
