Braided PET sleeve 100 ft

The KECO 8541756245 is a 100-foot length of black Polyethylene Terephthalate braided sleeving with a nominal 1/4-inch diameter that expands by 50 percent. It is intended for anyone organising audio, video, automotive or general-purpose wiring in home, office or vehicle installations.

Sustained temperature performance

The sleeve operates continuously from minus 103 to 257 degrees Fahrenheit and withstands a melt temperature of 446 degrees Fahrenheit. This range means the braid remains flexible and protective during long periods of engine-bay heat or enclosed-cabinet warmth without degrading.

Cutting and compliance limits

The material carries UL, RoHS, REACH and Halogen-Free markings, confirming restricted-substance compliance. A hot knife or seared edge is required when cutting to prevent fraying, so installers without a heat source should plan for that step before starting.

Questions about this item

Does the PET braided sleeve generate heat or noise when used continuously?

The sleeve is a passive cover with no moving parts or electronics, so it produces no noise or heat of its own; it simply insulates the cables inside.

What tools or materials must I already have to install this 1/4" 100 ft sleeve?

You need a hot knife or a lighter to seal the cut ends and prevent fraying, plus scissors or a knife for cutting the sleeve to length.

Will the 1/4" expandable diameter fit over older cables with thicker insulation?

The sleeve expands by 50 % from its 1/4" nominal size, allowing it to slide over a range of cable thicknesses commonly found in legacy wiring.
