15ft Toslink Cable for Home Audio

The KEHIPI 15ft Toslink digital optical audio cable connects TVs, soundbars, game consoles and Blu-ray players that have standard S/PDIF ports. The 15-foot length gives enough reach for typical living-room layouts without excess slack. It carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1 to 7.1 surround formats including Digital Plus and DTS-HD High Resolution. The black PVC jacket is flexible for routing behind furniture.

Gold-Plated Connectors and Protective Tips

24K gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and maintain a tight fit for a clear signal path. Miniature convex lens technology focuses the light beam to reduce transmission loss. Removable rubber tips shield the optical ends from dust and oxidation during storage or installation. The package includes a single cable backed by a two-year warranty.

Handles Standard Surround, Not High-Bitrate Codecs

The cable comfortably handles Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution and LPCM streams up to 7.1 channels. It does not support object-based or lossless formats that require higher bandwidth such as Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio. Builders needing those codecs should choose an HDMI or eARC connection instead. The thin fibre design suits permanent installs where thicker cables would be difficult to conceal.

Questions about this item

Will the removable rubber tips need replacing after repeated use?

The removable rubber tips protect the connectors from dust and oxidation; they stay on when the cable is not connected and can be kept for the life of the cable.

Does the thin PVC jacket limit how tightly the cable can be bent behind equipment?

The high-quality PVC jacket is described as flexible and wear-resistant, allowing the thinner cable to be routed in tight spaces without kinking.

Does the cable generate any heat or draw power during continuous playback?

As a passive fiber-optic Toslink cable it carries light signals only, so it produces no heat and consumes no power during all-day use.
