The crimper handles 8P and 6P plugs across Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A standards using 23AWG to 28AWG conductors. Everything needed for on-site patch-cord assembly ships in a single package.

Installing the connectors

Pass-through design lets wires protrude through the plug so the conductor order can be verified before crimping, which the supplier says yields a 100% success rate even for beginners. The crimper integrates cutting, stripping and crimping in one tool, and a printed user manual guides the first few terminations. The tester requires a 9V battery that is not included, so have one ready before the first continuity check.

Limits of the pass-through system
