Portable CD/DVD Writer

The KEHIPI ECD829-Y is an external optical drive that reads and writes CDs and DVDs through a USB 3.0 or USB-C connection. It handles CD media at up to 24x speed and DVD media at up to 8x speed with a 2 MB buffer. The unit is plug-and-play on Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS and Linux, requiring no separate driver installation.

For Disc Collections Not For Blu-ray

This drive suits anyone who needs to access legacy CD or DVD libraries on a modern laptop or desktop that lacks an internal bay. It will not serve buyers who want Blu-ray or 4K UHD playback, nor those who require a standalone duplicator tower that copies disc-to-disc without a host computer attached.

USB Powered Desktop Accessory

The slim enclosure measures 5.79 in by 5.59 in by 0.69 in and draws power directly from the host USB port, so no external adapter is needed. A single cable provides both data and power, freeing a desk from extra clutter while adding read, write, rip and backup capability for CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, DVD±R/RW and DVD-RAM formats.
