Six-piece acoustic tube set

The KEHIPI U-KD-6 package contains six covert air acoustic tube earpieces with a 2-pin connector and an inline microphone. Each unit weighs approximately 0.281 kilograms in total and is designed for private, hands-free communication on compatible two-way radios.

Security teams and event staff

These headsets suit professionals in policing, private security, hospitality and warehouse roles who need discreet audio in noisy venues. They are not water resistant, so outdoor crews exposed to rain or heavy splashes should look for a sealed alternative.

Direct radio connection

The 2-pin plugs insert straight into supported Kenwood and Baofeng models such as the UV-5R, BF-888S and UV-82 series without extra adapters. The push-to-talk button on the microphone cable keeps the radio clipped to a belt while freeing both hands for other tasks.

Questions about this item

Which two-pin connector does the U-KD-6 earpiece need on the radio side?

The earpiece uses a standard Kenwood-style 2-pin plug that matches the accessory jack on the listed Baofeng and Kenwood models.

Will the acoustic tube headset work with my older UV-5R that has a worn accessory port?

Yes, the 2-pin connector fits the same Kenwood-type jack used on the UV-5R and other compatible radios.

How can I confirm the push-to-talk microphone is transmitting after I plug in the headset?

Press the in-line PTT button and listen for the radio’s transmit tone or watch the TX indicator light on the radio.
