Air Tube Surveillance Design

The clear acoustic air tube transmits sound from the speaker to the ear without an in-ear bud. This design keeps the ear canal open for ambient awareness while delivering private audio. It is the defining feature that separates this kit from standard earbud headsets.

Metal PTT Clip and Soft Earpiece

A metal clip on the push-to-talk microphone secures it to a lapel, collar or tie for hands-free operation. The earpiece uses soft, skin-friendly material that rests outside the earlobe for extended comfort. No additional software or adapters are included.

Questions about this item

How does the air tube design affect audio clarity when I'm using it with a CLP1010e radio?

The clear tube carries sound acoustically so the earpiece sits outside the ear, letting you hear transmissions clearly while staying aware of surroundings.

What connector does the kit use to attach to the CLP1040e and CLPe446 radios?

It plugs into the Motorola multi-pin accessory port found on the CLP1010e, CLP1040e, CLPe446 and CLP446e models.

How does the earpiece stay in place during active use?

A soft, skin-friendly ear tip rests outside the earlobe and the metal clip on the PTT unit fastens to a lapel, collar or tie for a secure fit.
