Resolution headroom and limits

The adapter supports DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0b, delivering up to 3840x2160 at 60 Hz with HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG. It steps down to 3840x2160 at 30 Hz, 1920x1080 at 60 Hz or 1280x720 at 59.94 Hz when bandwidth or the display requires it. HDCP 1.4 is supported for protected content. If the host USB-C port cannot supply enough video bandwidth, the adapter will automatically fall back to 4K at 30 Hz. Some monitors need their HDMI Enhanced Mode enabled and a re-plug before 4K 60 Hz appears.
