It adds video, wired networking, power delivery and multiple USB ports through a single connection. The aluminium shell integrates dual fans with a separate switch and 24 colour modes.

Interface limits

HDMI 2.0 and DP 2.0 each drive a 4K display at 60 Hz, while the 1000Mbps Ethernet port caps wired throughput at one gigabit per second. Two USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports share the upstream bandwidth, so simultaneous high-speed transfers will contend for the same link. PD 100W charging passes power through to the handheld but does not increase the dock's own data capacity.

Build and daily use

The aluminium alloy body acts as a heatsink and the dual fans pull heat away from the console during long sessions. A widened bottom groove increases the air gap between the handheld and the dock, improving airflow without blocking the device's own vents.
