Crimper limited to non-pass-through RJ45.

The supplied crimper handles standard 8P8C, 6P4C and 4P2C connectors for Cat5 and Cat5e cable but cannot terminate pass-through RJ45 types. Buyers who need pass-through termination must obtain a different crimper, as this tool will not seat those connectors correctly.

Tester requires separate 9V battery to verify

The cable tester checks RJ11, RJ45, Cat5, Cat5e, BNC, RJH and ST-248 links, lighting eight LEDs to show mis-wires, shorts and opens. Without a user-supplied 9V battery the tester cannot operate, so the kit cannot perform any continuity checks until that battery is purchased.
