Rugged case for Surface Go

The Kensington BlackBelt 97454 wraps the Surface Go in military-grade drop protection tested to MIL-STD-810G 810 standards. A silicone hand strap stays attached for secure one-handed carrying and quick collaboration. The improved bezel design keeps the Type Cover easy to attach or remove while the case stays on.

Check device generation and accessory fit

Verify that your tablet is the Surface Go model this case was designed for. Confirm the integrated pen holder matches your stylus size and that the tether reaches your preferred anchor point. Ensure the wider cutouts align with your kickstand angle, USB port and Surface Dock connector before relying on full functionality.

Passive protection with no thermal impact

The rugged shell adds no active cooling, so thermals and noise stay identical to the bare tablet. Power draw is unchanged because the case draws no electricity. The open cutouts preserve the device’s own ventilation paths during normal use.

Questions about this item

Does the Kensington 97454 BlackBelt Rugged Case include a Surface Pen, Type Cover or screen protector in the box?

The case is sold as the protective shell with integrated hand strap and pen holder only. The Surface Go tablet, Type Cover keyboard, Surface Pen and any screen protector are separate purchases.

How do I choose between the different versions of the BlackBelt case for my Surface Go?

Model 97454 is the single version made for the Surface Go. Confirm your tablet is a Surface Go; other Surface models require their own specific BlackBelt case.

What does the MIL-STD-810G 810 drop-test rating mean when I am actually using the Surface Go with this case on?

The case has been tested to survive repeated drops onto hard surfaces. In daily use it protects the tablet from knocks, falls and bumps while keeping the kickstand, ports and Type Cover fully accessible.
