What this drawer adds to a desk

The Kensington clamp-on storage drawer provides a sturdy, non-permanent way to keep keyboards, mice, trackballs, pens, markers, pads and notebooks within easy reach while clearing the desktop surface. It supports up to 26.4 pounds (12 kg) and installs in minutes without tools or damage to the furniture. TAA compliance makes it suitable for U.S. Federal Government use.

Desk thickness and rail clearance to verify

Before ordering, measure the desk or table edge to confirm it does not exceed 1.77 inches (4.5 cm) so the C-clamps can secure the unit properly. Check that the two height-adjustment levels on the smooth-moving rail will give enough vertical clearance for the items you plan to store inside the drawer body.

Heat, noise and power in daily use

The drawer has no powered components, so it generates no heat, draws no electricity and produces no fan or motor noise during normal operation. Its all-metal construction and fixed clamps remain stable when the rail is extended, adding no audible vibration to the workspace.
