Wired trackball with 55 mm ball

The Kensington Expert Trackball is a wired pointing device built around a large 55 mm ball that is tracked optically by DiamondEye technology. Four programmable buttons and a surrounding Scroll Ring handle navigation and shortcuts through KensingtonWorks software. The design keeps the hand stationary to reduce wrist movement during long sessions. It has set an industry comfort standard for more than 20 years.

Suited to desk-bound professionals who prefer

Users who want a mouse that moves across a surface or who need wireless freedom will not find that here. Gamers relying on rapid flick shots may favour a traditional optical mouse. Anyone requiring a compact travel device should consider a smaller form factor.

Check that a free USB-A port is available

Verify that your operating system supports KensingtonWorks for button remapping and Scroll Ring configuration. Ensure desk space accommodates the stationary footprint of the trackball base. Confirm that the wired cable length reaches your host without strain.

Questions about this item

What type of port does the Kensington Expert Trackball K64325 need to connect to a computer?

The trackball is a wired model, so it requires an available USB-A port on the computer for operation.

Can the large 55mm ball be used effectively on a desk with limited surface space?

Yes, because the device stays stationary while only the ball moves, it needs far less desk area than a conventional mouse that must be pushed around.

How can I verify the DiamondEye optical tracking is working correctly after plugging it in?

Move the 55mm ball and confirm the cursor responds smoothly and accurately on screen, then test the Scroll Ring and four customizable buttons for immediate response.
