Back Support for Office Chairs

The Kensington L82025F back rest uses high-density viscoelastic memory foam that responds to temperature and pressure. It moulds to the user's body shape to provide full lumbar support during long periods of sitting. The unit attaches to almost any chair with two adjustable straps. A removable cotton-polyester cover can be washed to keep the surface clean.

Upgrade from Basic Lumbar Pads

Standard foam or mesh cushions often flatten quickly and shift position on the seat. This model replaces them with NASA-originated memory foam that dissipates pressure points rather than simply cushioning them. The leather-like bottom cover grips the chair fabric to stop the rest from sliding down. The improvement is worth it when lower-back fatigue appears after two or three hours at a desk.

Behaviour During a Full Workday

The viscoelastic material softens gradually with body heat, maintaining consistent contact without becoming overly soft. Pressure distribution stays even across the 16 by 12 inch surface as posture shifts. The adjustable straps keep the rest aligned to the spine without needing readjustment. The washable cover resists moisture build-up so the foam core remains stable over extended daily use.

Questions about this item

How deep is the back rest so I know whether it fits my chair seat?

The cushion measures 12 inches deep, 16 inches wide and 16 inches high, matching the 12.00" W x 16.00" L x 16.00" H dimensions listed for the L82025F.

What is the step people forget when strapping it to a chair?

After looping the two adjustable straps around the chair back, pull each strap tight until the leather-like bottom cover grips the seat fabric so the foam cannot shift when you lean.

Can the cotton-polyester cover be machine washed when it gets dirty?

Yes — unzip the removable cover and wash it on a gentle cycle with mild detergent; air-dry fully before zipping it back onto the memory-foam core.
