Symmetrical 40 mm Trackball

The Kensington Orbit K72337US is a wired optical trackball with a symmetrical shape that suits both left- and right-handed users. A medium 40 mm ball provides precise cursor control while the device remains stationary, making it a practical choice for confined desks or users who prefer a fixed pointing device.

USB Connection and Scroll Ring

The trackball connects through a standard USB port and draws power from the host, so no separate adapter or battery is required. An integrated scroll ring surrounds the ball and enables click-free vertical scrolling, while the TrackballWorks software lets you reassign the two buttons and tune cursor and scrolling speed to match your workflow.

Suited for Space-Conscious Users

This model fits workstations where desk area is limited and a traditional mouse would need extra sweep space. It also appeals to anyone who wants stationary operation to reduce arm movement. Buyers who need additional programmable buttons, wireless freedom, or a larger ball diameter should consider other options.

Questions about this item

Will the 40 mm optical ball keep tracking accurately after hours of continuous use?

The 40 mm ball is machined as a perfect sphere and uses optical tracking, which has no moving rollers to wear out or collect debris, so precision stays consistent during long sessions.

Does the wired USB trackball run warm or draw noticeable power when left on all day?

It draws standard USB bus power with no separate supply, produces no audible fan noise, and the optical sensor generates negligible heat even after extended use.

What operating system must I already have installed for the Scroll Ring and TrackballWorks software to work?

Supported systems include Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, Mac OS X 10.8 through 10.11, and Chrome OS 44 and above.
