Pro Fit 2.4 GHz replacement receiver

This USB dongle restores the wireless link for select Kensington Pro Fit keyboards and mice when the original nano receiver is lost. It plugs into any standard USB-A port and re-establishes the 2.4 GHz connection without additional drivers. The adapter is intended for users who already own a compatible Pro Fit input device.

Bluetooth 4.0 combo adapter function

The same hardware also operates as a Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter, adding Bluetooth capability to a desktop or laptop that lacks a built-in radio. This lets the receiver pair with Bluetooth keyboards, mice or other peripherals in addition to its 2.4 GHz Pro Fit role. No extra software installation is required for either mode.

Compatibility limited to listed Pro Fit models

The receiver works only with the specific Kensington Pro Fit wireless keyboards and mice identified by the manufacturer. It will not connect to peripherals from other brands or to Pro Fit models not included in the official compatibility list. Verify your device against that list before purchase.

The receiver is a passive USB dongle with no moving parts or batteries, so it does not require scheduled replacement.

What limits continuous operation of the 2.4 GHz link?

The link stays active as long as the host USB port supplies power and the paired Pro Fit keyboard or mouse remains in range.

Does the adapter generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day use?

The tiny USB dongle draws minimal power, produces no audible noise and stays at ambient temperature during extended sessions.
