Target device and fit

The Kensington K66642 cable lock is built for Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Go tablets. It secures the device without altering the chassis, so the original hardware warranty stays intact and the tablet’s finish is preserved.

Physical security limits

The lock uses a 5 mm keyed cylinder with anti-skid Hidden Pin technology to resist picking and debris. A seven-strand quenched carbon steel cable with an anti-corrosion sheath anchors the unit to a desk or fixed structure, providing a visible deterrent against casual theft.

Installation notes

One-handed button operation engages the lock, and the head rotates 360 degrees for flexible cable routing. The mechanism fits the native Surface lock slot directly, so no adapters or tools are required; the only requirement is an accessible anchor point on the furniture.
