Kent Safety Life Vest USCG Level 70

This Kent Safety personal flotation device carries USCG Performance Level 70 approval and Type III classification. It uses inherently buoyant foam to deliver 15 1/2 lb of buoyancy without any inflation mechanism. The vest fits chest sizes from XS through S in a black finish.

Upgrade from non-approved or lower-buoyancy vests

Replacing an uncertified jacket or one with less flotation gives law-enforcement and marine users the regulatory compliance required for duty use. The jump is worth it when a department mandates USCG-approved Level 70 performance for on-water operations.

Practical limits of foam buoyancy and closure system

Foam construction means the vest cannot be deflated for compact storage and adds bulk compared with inflatable alternatives. The belt and zipper closure relies on proper adjustment; an incorrect fit can reduce effective flotation. It is not SOLAS compliant, so it does not meet international maritime survival standards.
