140W USB-C charger for MacBook

This 140W USB-C power adapter targets owners of 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models plus 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models from 2021 through 2025. It ships with a 6.6ft USB-C to Magnetic 3 cable that auto-aligns to the port. The brick uses GaN circuitry and PD 3.1 to deliver full-rated output in a compact form factor.

Suits Mac users who want one brick for Pro and Air

The Magnetic 3 connector works only with 2021-2025 MacBook models; owners of 2012-2020 MagSafe 2 or USB-C MacBooks cannot use the included cable. Buyers who need a charger for non-Apple USB-C laptops can still use the adapter with their own cable, but the magnetic tip adds no benefit. Shoppers seeking a multi-port desktop charger should look at a different product class.

Delivers 140W peak with headroom for lesser models

The adapter negotiates 140W, 118W, 106W, 100W, 96W, 87W, 70W, 61W and 30W profiles, so it fast-charges every listed MacBook and iPad Pro, Air or Mini with USB-C. A 16-inch MacBook Pro reaches 60-80% in roughly 30 minutes under load such as 3D rendering or 4K video editing. The single USB-C output means only one device charges at the adapter's maximum rate; simultaneous charging requires a separate hub or charger.

Questions about this item

Does this 140W adapter work with my 2020 MacBook Pro that still uses USB-C?

The magnetic cable only supports 2021 to 2025 MacBook models; the 2020 version is not compatible with that cable.

Will my existing 96W USB-C cable deliver the same 140W speed with this charger?

A 96W cable limits output to 96W; the included 6.6ft magnetic cable is required for the full 140W rate.

How can I confirm the charger is delivering the advertised 140W to my 16-inch MacBook Pro?

The LED on the magnetic connector lights when the adapter is actively supplying power to the device.
