Compatible Docking Stations

This 90W AC adapter is built for the Surface Dock model 1749 and the PD9-00003 docking station used with Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. It delivers a steady 15V at 6A to power the dock and connected peripherals. The unit is not compatible with the Surface Pro 3 dock station.

Sustained Power Delivery

The adapter accepts a wide 100-240V input at 1.2A across 50 or 60Hz mains supplies worldwide. Internal protection circuits guard against over-charging, over-power, over-current, over-voltage, high temperature and short-circuit conditions during continuous operation. CE certification confirms compliance with the declared safety standards.

Pre-Purchase Checks

Verify that your docking station carries the model number 1749 or PD9-00003 before ordering. The fixed 15V 6A output suits only devices designed for that exact voltage and current. A six-foot detachable cord is included for flexible desk placement.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 90 W adapter produce when powering a dock all day?

The unit has no fan and runs silently; its impact-resistant outer case and shock-absorbing inner liner dissipate the 15 V 6 A load without audible noise.

Which dock model must I already own for this 15 V 6 A charger to work?

It fits the Surface Dock model 1749 (PD9-00003) used with Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book; it will not work with the Surface Pro 3 dock.

Will this 100-240 V input adapter run safely alongside my older 1661-series power brick?

Yes, the 50/60 Hz wide-range input and built-in over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection let it operate beside legacy chargers without interference.
