SKU CH-Y9CZ-0SH36

Charges Surface Pro, Laptop, Book and Go devices at 65W with a foldable plug and magnetic connector

  • Product typeAC Adapters
  • Charges Surface Pro 8 from 0 to 80% in 40 minutes
  • 65W output also powers 44W and 36W Surface devices
  • 34% smaller than original charger with foldable AC plug
  • Magnetic connector rotates 360 degrees and withstands 8.8 lbs pull force
  • Multiple safety protections prevent overcharging, overheating and short circuits

Universal Surface Power Adapter

This 65 W AC adapter charges every Surface Pro from generation 3 through 10 and X, plus Surface Laptop 1-6, Surface Book 1-3 and Surface Go 1-3. It replaces the original power brick with a single compact unit that integrates the cable and a foldable plug. Travellers and mobile professionals gain a lighter bag without losing charging speed.

Output ceiling and port constraint

The adapter delivers up to 65 W and also supports 44 W and 36 W profiles for older models, so it will not fast-charge devices that require more than 65 W. Power reaches the tablet through a proprietary magnetic connector that rotates 360 degrees for alignment; no USB-C or barrel-jack option exists on this unit. The fixed cable length limits desk placement flexibility.

Verify device family and port style

Confirm your Surface belongs to the Pro, Laptop, Book or Go lines listed above; Surface Studio, Surface Hub or non-Surface laptops are not supported. Ensure the magnetic charging port on your device is undamaged, because the connector relies on that interface. Buyers who need a USB-C power source or a higher wattage for docking stations should look elsewhere.
