Product identity and target installer

The Kenwood DMX809S is a 6.8" digital multimedia receiver designed for vehicle dashboard installation. It provides an AM/FM tuner with presets and a WVGA touchscreen for controlling media and smartphone features. The unit suits drivers who want integrated phone connectivity without replacing factory wiring.

Wireless smartphone integration

Wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are the decisive specifications; they allow an iPhone or Android handset to connect without a cable for maps, calls, messages and music. Wired mirroring for Android devices via USB is also available when a wireless link is not preferred.

Sustained operation behaviour

A 1.5 A high-current USB port keeps a connected phone charged during long journeys while the receiver streams audio or runs navigation apps. The built-in HD Radio tuner and support for FLAC, WAV, MPEG4, H.264, MKV and WMV playback continue without interruption during extended use.
