6.8" Capacitive Touchscreen Receiver

The Kenwood eXcelon DMX809S is a double-DIN digital media receiver with a 6.8" WVGA capacitive touchscreen. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration. A built-in HD Radio tuner and SiriusXM-ready design expand broadcast options. The unit targets drivers who want a large, responsive display and wireless phone projection in a standard chassis.

Double-DIN Chassis with Camera and HDMI Inputs

The receiver fits a standard double-DIN dashboard opening and provides rear USB, auxiliary, and HDMI inputs. Dedicated connections for a backup camera and a front-view camera assist with parking and low-speed manoeuvres. Wired Android mirroring is available via USB. This layout frees the front panel for a clean installation while keeping expansion ports accessible at the rear.

Sustained Operation with High-Resolution Audio

The chassis uses a capacitive LCD with LED backlighting that maintains contrast and touch accuracy during extended drives. Internal decoding handles FLAC and WAV files alongside MPEG4, H.264, MKV and WMV video without transcoding gaps. Digital time alignment preserves soundstage stability over long listening sessions. Built-in Amazon Alexa requires a Wi-Fi hotspot for continuous cloud connectivity.
