Single-DIN CD receiver with Alexa

The Kenwood Excelon KDC-X705 is a single-DIN CD receiver that adds Bluetooth, SiriusXM readiness and Amazon Alexa voice control to a dashboard. It plays high-resolution FLAC files up to 24-bit/96kHz from a front USB port and includes a 255-segment 1.5-line display with variable-color illumination.

Best for phone-heavy daily drivers

Drivers who want hands-free calling, dual-phone Bluetooth pairing and music mixing from up to five paired smartphones will benefit. Buyers who need a double-DIN chassis, a large touchscreen or built-in navigation should look elsewhere.

13-band EQ with time alignment decides fit

The 13-band equalizer and digital time alignment let you tune each speaker channel for the listening position. If your system relies on external processors and you do not need onboard tuning, the EQ depth may be unnecessary.
