Excelon KMM-X705 media receiver

The Kenwood Excelon KMM-X705 is a digital media receiver with an AM/FM tuner that does not play discs. It targets drivers who stream audio from smartphones or USB storage and want integrated voice control. The 1.5-line display uses 255 segments with variable-color illumination for clear visibility. Amazon Alexa is built in for hands-free operation while driving.

Bluetooth dual phone and USB expandability

Built-in Bluetooth supports hands-free calling and audio streaming with a dual phone connection so two devices stay linked simultaneously. The Music Mix feature allows streaming and control from up to five paired smartphones. Android devices connect via Bluetooth while iPhones use USB and Bluetooth for control and Apple Music Radio. Front-panel auxiliary input plus front and rear USB ports provide flexible source options.

High-resolution FLAC playback and audio tuning

The USB ports play high-res FLAC files up to 24-bit/96kHz for detailed sound reproduction. A 13-band equalizer with digital time alignment lets you shape the frequency response to the cabin. Drive EQ boosts specific frequencies to overcome road noise and subwoofer level controls with high and low-pass filters manage bass output. The receiver lacks a disc mechanism so physical media users must look elsewhere.
