Marine Wired Remote Control

The Kenwood KCA-RC55MR is a wired remote built for marine and motorsports environments. It provides direct control of a compatible audio system from an exposed helm or dash position. The IPX7 rating means the unit survives immersion in water. Buyers needing wireless or Bluetooth connectivity cannot use this model.

Simple Panel Mount Installation

The remote fits a standard 3-1/2 inch cutout and requires only 1-5/16 inch mounting depth behind the panel. A 33 inch cable connects the remote to the head unit, so the installer must route this length to the source. No separate power or data wiring is needed beyond the single cable. Panels thicker than the stated depth or cable runs longer than supplied will prevent installation.

Two Line Display with White Illumination

The 2-line LCD shows source, track and volume information with white backlighting for daylight readability. The wired link delivers instant response for volume, track changes and menu navigation. The 16 character lines limit the amount of text visible at once. Systems requiring metadata display beyond two lines will truncate information.
