Single DIN CD Receiver with Alexa

The Kenwood KDC-BT382U is a single DIN CD receiver that adds Amazon Alexa voice control to daily driving. It plays CDs and digital files including high-res FLAC up to 24-bit/96kHz through a detachable face with a 13-digit LCD display and variable-color illumination. Built-in Bluetooth supports hands-free calls and audio streaming with dual phone connection.

Drivers who want voice control and expandable audio

This unit suits drivers who want voice-activated Alexa, SiriusXM readiness, and a 13-band graphic equalizer with digital time alignment for system tuning. It provides 6-channel preamp outputs at 2.5 volts for adding amplifiers. Buyers who need a double DIN chassis, a capacitive touchscreen, or built-in navigation should look at other form factors.

2.5-volt 6-channel preamp outputs

The receiver delivers 2.5-volt front, rear, and subwoofer preamp outputs, a level that feeds external amplifiers cleanly without extra line drivers. This voltage determines whether the unit matches an existing amplifier gain structure or requires a different signal level.

Questions about this item

Does the KDC-BT382U come with a SiriusXM antenna or do I need to buy one separately?

The receiver includes a built-in SiriusXM tuner so you can connect, control and enjoy the service; the antenna itself is sold separately.

Should I choose the front-panel USB or the front-panel auxiliary input for high-res FLAC playback up to 24-bit/96kHz?

Use the front USB port; it reads USB media loaded with MP3, AAC, WMA, WAV and FLAC files up to 24-bit/96kHz, while the aux input is analogue only.

How much voltage do the 6-channel preamp outputs deliver to my amplifiers?

The front, rear and subwoofer preamp outputs each provide 2.5 volts, giving a clean signal for external amps.
