Distressed PU leather desk mat

The Keychron ET-ZD-01 is a large desk mat made from distressed PU leather with a suede base. It measures 31.5 by 15.7 inches and is 1.8 millimetres thick. The brown Crazy Horse finish gives a vintage look while protecting the desktop from scratches, spills and heat. It suits home or office users who want a single surface for keyboard, mouse and writing.

Sustained daily protection and feel

The waterproof PU leather resists liquid spills and oil, so the surface stays clean with a quick wipe. The non-slip suede bottom keeps the mat in place during long typing or gaming sessions. At 1.8 millimetres the pad stays flat and cushions wrists without compressing over time. The material handles high temperatures from laptops or warm drinks without marking.

Replaces basic cloth or plastic pads

This mat upgrades from thin cloth pads that fray, stain or slide on smooth desks. The jump is worth it when you want a durable, easy-clean surface that also covers a wider area for keyboard and mouse together. Buyers who need a hard low-friction surface for fast mouse glide or a thicker cushioned pad will not find those traits here.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.8 mm PU leather surface stay cool and quiet during all-day use?

The mat is passive with no fans or electronics, so it produces no noise and adds no heat to the desk.

What items must already be on the desk for this 31.5 x 15.7 inch mat to serve its purpose?

It works as a surface protector on its own; a keyboard, mouse or laptop simply rest on top.

Will the distressed PU leather and suede base damage a vintage wooden desk finish?

The non-slip suede bottom grips without adhesives, and the waterproof top shields the wood from spills and scratches.
