Industrial clamp-on flow sensor

The Keyence FD-Q10C is a non-invasive flow sensor designed for process engineers who need to monitor liquid flow without cutting pipework. It clamps onto the outside of a pipe and measures flow rates with a display resolution selectable between 0.01, 0.1 and 1 L/min. The unit suits water-treatment, cooling-loop and general industrial applications where fluid contamination must be avoided.

Fits existing piping with IP65/IP67 sealing

Because the sensor mounts externally, it requires no process shutdown, welding or flange work during installation. The PPS, PES, PBT and stainless-steel wetted materials resist corrosion across a supported fluid temperature range of 0 to 85 °C. An enclosure rated IP65 and IP67 to IEC 60529 protects the electronics from dust and water jets in wash-down environments.

Replaces invasive turbine or mag-meter inserts

The clamp-on design eliminates pressure drop and leak paths associated with in-line sensors, making the jump worthwhile when system uptime or fluid purity are priorities. Response time is selectable from 0.5 s to 60 s, with repeatability tightening from ±2.0 % at the fastest setting to ±0.35 % at 10 s. It is not suited for gases, slurries or pipes where ultrasonic coupling cannot be achieved.
