Dell Compatibility List

This power supply replaces original units in Dell OptiPlex 3660, 3710, 3910, XPS 8950, 7000 and 5000 desktops. It delivers 260 W through the standard ATX form factor and the required 8-pin connector. The new condition ensures full rated performance from first use.

Sustained Load Behaviour

The 80 PLUS Gold certification means the unit maintains high efficiency across typical workloads, reducing waste heat and keeping internal temperatures lower during long sessions. Resonant LLC topology with DC-to-DC conversion provides stable voltage regulation when the system draws power continuously. Zero RPM fan mode stays inactive under sustained load, so active cooling engages automatically.

ATX Power Limits

The 260 W ceiling defines the maximum combined output for all rails, limiting the graphics cards and processors the supply can support. Modern Standby compatibility enables low-power sleep states but does not increase the peak wattage available. Builders needing more headroom for high-end components must choose a higher-rated unit.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 260W unit get when running all day?

The Zero RPM fan mode stops the fan at low and medium loads for near-silent operation, and 80 PLUS Gold efficiency keeps temperatures lower to reduce fan speed under heavier loads.

Which Dell systems is this H260EBS-00 power supply designed to fit?

It is listed as compatible with Dell 3910, 3710, 3660, XPS 8950, 7000 and 5000 models.

Will the resonant LLC topology and DC-to-DC conversion work with older components I keep?

The topology provides clean, consistent power and reduces coil whine, which benefits both modern and legacy hardware connected to the unit.
