Target system and purpose

This KHACHIMO unit is a 40W ATX power supply designed for the MAP40-3000 platform. It serves builders who need a compact, efficient power source for that specific system.

Thermals noise and power draw

The 80 PLUS Gold certification delivers high efficiency, which lowers power consumption, reduces noise and keeps temperatures down. A Zero RPM fan mode stops the cooling fan completely at low and medium loads for near-silent operation. Resonant LLC topology with DC-to-DC conversion provides clean power, cuts coil whine and supports energy-efficient sleep states.

Modern Standby compatibility

Modern Standby support enables extremely fast wake-from-sleep times and better low-load efficiency. Buyers whose systems do not require this sleep state will not benefit from the feature.

Questions about this item

How do I install the KHACHIMO 40W in a standard ATX case and which step is often missed?

Mount the unit with four screws, connect the 24-pin ATX and CPU power cables, then verify Modern Standby is enabled in the motherboard BIOS so the fast wake-from-sleep feature actually works.

What maintenance will this power supply need over its life?

The Zero RPM Fan Mode keeps the fan off at low and medium loads, so dust buildup is minimal; occasionally vacuum the intake grill and listen for coil whine, which the LLC resonant topology with DC-to-DC conversion is designed to suppress.

What limit appears first when the unit runs continuously near its 40 W rating?

Sustained loads approaching 40 W will eventually raise internal temperatures enough to spin the fan up from Zero RPM mode, making audible noise the first noticeable constraint.
