Questions about this item

How much continuous power can the 500W ATX unit deliver before its protection circuits engage?

The supply is rated for 500 W continuous output; its over-current and over-temperature protections will trip if that limit is exceeded for more than a few seconds.

What is the typical fan noise and heat output when the PSU runs at full load all day?

The unit uses a single temperature-controlled fan that spins faster as load rises; at sustained 500 W the fan runs at its highest speed, producing noticeable airflow and warm exhaust.
