It delivers the same rated output in the same form factor so the switch powers up without modification. Each unit is tested working before it ships.

Replaces the original Juniper 740-053638 module

The supply is intended for administrators who need a spare or replacement for a failed factory unit in a compatible Juniper chassis. It is not suitable for standard desktop ATX builds or for switches that require a different wattage, connector layout or airflow direction. Buyers should verify the exact part number against their hardware before ordering.

Questions about this item

What Juniper switch models does the 850W DC power supply with part number 740-053638 support?

This unit is compatible with Juniper QFX5100, QFX5200 and EX4550 switches that require the JPSU-850W-DC-AFI module.

How is the 850W DC supply installed in the switch chassis, and what step is often missed?

Slide the module into the power-supply bay until the latch clicks, then tighten the captive thumbscrews to secure it; skipping the screws leaves the unit loose and can interrupt power.
