Questions about this item

What does the 600W rating mean for a DS4700 EXP810 disk cabinet in daily use?

The 600W rating is the maximum continuous power this supply can deliver to the cabinet's drives and controllers, so it sets the ceiling for how many disks and modules you can run simultaneously.

What does the ATX type tell me about fitting this unit into the EXP810 chassis?

ATX here describes the physical form factor and connector layout used by the DS4700 EXP810 cabinet, so the unit slots directly into the existing power bay without adapters.
