Power Supply for DVR and NVR Systems

The KHACHIMO DVR NVR 7916N is a new ATX switching power supply rated at 80W. It is built for recorders and similar appliances that require a 20-pin main connector and multiple SATA power outputs. The unit suits installers who need a compact, efficient source for always-on surveillance equipment.

Efficiency and Noise Features

80 PLUS Gold certification confirms high efficiency at typical loads, reducing waste heat and fan demand. Zero RPM mode keeps the fan stopped at low and medium loads for near-silent operation. Resonant LLC topology with DC-to-DC conversion delivers clean power, cuts coil whine and supports modern standby for extremely fast wake-from-sleep times.

Connectors and Build Implications

A single 20-pin ATX connector feeds the motherboard while four SATA power plugs drive storage drives directly. The 80W capacity fits low-power recorder boards but cannot support high-wattage CPUs or discrete graphics cards. Builders needing more drive bays or auxiliary power headers must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What maintenance or replacement does the DPS-80PB-10A switching supply need over time?

The fan runs only above low and medium loads, so dust intake is reduced; periodic cleaning of the intake grill is the only upkeep the unit requires.

Which limit appears first when this 80 W supply runs a DVR NVR 7916N continuously?

The 80 W total output ceiling is reached before thermal or connector limits, so the system must stay within that power budget.

How do noise, heat and power draw behave when this supply runs all day?

Zero RPM mode keeps the fan off at low and medium loads, 80 PLUS Gold efficiency lowers waste heat and power draw, and resonant LLC topology cuts coil whine for quieter operation.
