KHACHIMO R420 550W Server Power Supply

This 550W ATX power supply is built for the Dell PowerEdge R420 server platform. It delivers cold-plug replacement capability for direct swap-in during maintenance. The unit suits IT teams and system integrators who need a tested, reliable spare for existing R420 deployments.

550W capacity for R420 workloads

Rated at 550W, the supply handles typical dual-processor configurations with standard memory and storage complements. It will not support heavily expanded builds that add multiple GPUs, large drive arrays or extra PCIe cards beyond the chassis design limits. Builders needing redundant hot-plug power or higher wattage for dense compute must source a different chassis platform.

Questions about this item

Will the 550 w unit fit and power a Dell PowerEdge R420 chassis that still has its original backplane and drive cage?

The supply is listed as a direct replacement for the R420 and uses the standard ATX form factor, so it mounts in the original bay and connects to the existing power backplane without modification.

After installation, how can I verify the 550 w supply is delivering stable power to the R420?

Check the server's iDRAC or BIOS hardware-monitoring page; all voltage rails should read within ATX tolerance and the PSU status should show "OK" with no fault LEDs lit on the unit itself.
