Adds GPIO, I2S, audio, IR and USB host interfaces to an Edge2 board in a 52.2 mm module
The Khadas Edge2 IO Module is a compact expansion board that adds physical interfaces to the Edge2 single-board computer. It provides a 3.5 mm headphone jack, an SD card reader supporting UHS-I, and detachable crimp connectors for USB host, analog speaker output, and analog microphone input. An infrared receiver with dual-channel support is also included for remote-control applications.
This module suits developers who require direct access to CPU and MCU signals through a 16-pin GPIO header and a 10-pin pogo-pad array. It exposes interfaces such as UART, ADC, SPI, I2C, I2S, PWM, and debug pins for both processors. Builders who only need the standard ports already present on the Edge2 main board, or who require high-speed storage interfaces not provided here, should consider other expansion options.
The 16-pin header at 2.54 mm pitch and the 10-pin pogo pads at the same pitch give ample headroom for prototyping custom daughter boards or connecting test equipment. The board measures 52.2 mm long, extending to 66.7 mm with the FPC, by 46.5 mm wide and 6.3 mm high. It does not add internal storage, wireless radios, or high-current power delivery beyond the signals exposed on the headers.

No published specifications for this item yet.
Yes, the module is designed exclusively for the Edge2 and connects via its FPC and pogo-pad interfaces.
The header uses standard 2.54 mm pitch so common jumper wires and breadboards fit directly.
Check that the CPU UART, SPI, I2C and MCU SWDIO/SWCLK signals appear on the 16-pin header and that the 10-pin pogo pads expose I2S, PWM and the MCU UART.
