Kicker KB6B speakers and Yamaha RX-V4ABL receiver

This bundle pairs a 5.2-channel AV receiver with a pair of 2-way indoor/outdoor speakers. The speakers feature 6.5-inch woofers and dual 5-inch horn tweeters in a weatherproof enclosure. The receiver adds 8K HDMI switching and MusicCast multi-room streaming. Together they serve a combined indoor and outdoor listening area.

8K HDMI practical limits

The receiver passes 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz through its HDMI inputs. HDR and HDR10+ metadata are supported alongside gaming features such as ALLM, VRR, QMS and QFT. Bandwidth beyond these stated formats is not guaranteed. Cables certified for the required throughput must be supplied separately.

5.2-channel amplification decides fit

The receiver drives five main speakers plus two subwoofer outputs, matching the included stereo pair and leaving capacity for a centre, surrounds and two subwoofers. Buyers who need more than five amplified channels or who lack space for the speaker brackets should consider a different configuration.

Questions about this item

Should I use the 6.5-inch woofers or the 2x5-inch horn tweeters for my patio setup?

Both drivers work together in each speaker; the 6.5-inch woofers handle low frequencies while the 2x5-inch horn tweeters cover the highs, so the pair delivers full-range sound without choosing one over the other.

What does the 5.2-channel rating mean for my living-room layout?

The receiver powers five main speakers plus two subwoofer outputs, letting you run a standard surround array and add a second sub for smoother bass distribution.

Which HDMI capabilities does the 8K HDMI label actually support?

The receiver handles 8K60 and 4K120 video pass-through along with HDR10+, ALLM, VRR, QMS and QFT for gaming and high-dynamic-range content.
