Conduit Outlet Body T Style

The Killark OT-5 is a T-style conduit outlet body made from powder-coated aluminium. It provides a junction point for pulling or splicing conductors in IMC and RMC raceway systems. The trade size is 1 1/2 inches with a threaded hub connection. Suitable for hazardous-location installations where code-compliant fittings are required.

Thermal Noise and Power Draw

As a passive aluminium fitting, the OT-5 generates no heat and produces no audible noise during normal operation. It draws no electrical power and adds no thermal load to the raceway system. The powder-coated finish resists corrosion in damp or chemical environments. The flat back design allows secure mounting against walls or enclosures.

Sustained Load Behavior

Under continuous use the body maintains its structural integrity and grounding path without degradation. The 36 cubic inch capacity accommodates the required conductor fill for 1 1/2 inch trade size raceways. The compatible OL-450 cover seals the opening to retain environmental ratings over time. Multi-angle connection orientation supports flexible routing in complex conduit layouts.

Questions about this item

How do I install the OT-5 outlet body and what step is often missed?

Thread the 1-1/2 in hubs onto IMC or RMC conduit, then secure the OL-450 cover; the step often missed is tightening the cover bolts to maintain the hazardous-location seal.

What maintenance or replacement will the OT-5 need later?

Inspect the powder-coated aluminum body and OL-450 cover gasket periodically; replace the cover or gasket if corrosion or cracking appears.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the OT-5?

The 36 cu in body capacity limits the number of conductors you can pull through before exceeding fill regulations.
