KINGARD Active PoE Splitter 48V to 12V

This KINGARD Active PoE Splitter converts 48V Power over Ethernet into 12V DC at 15.4W. The two-pack supplies IEEE 802.3af compliant power to non-PoE devices such as IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP phones. Installation is plug-and-play with no configuration required.

Thermals noise and power draw

The splitter draws 44-57V DC from a standard PoE switch and delivers a regulated 12V 1A output with overvoltage protection. It passes 10/100Mbps data through to the connected device without active cooling or moving parts. Power consumption matches the attached 12V load up to the 15.4W limit.

5.5 x 2.1 mm DC jack constraint

The fixed 5.5 mm by 2.1 mm barrel connector determines which 12V equipment can be powered directly. Devices with a different jack size or polarity need an adapter cable not included in the pack. Buyers whose hardware uses terminal blocks, screw terminals or a larger barrel plug cannot connect without extra parts.

Questions about this item

How do I install the KINGARD PoE splitter and what step is often missed?

Connect the PoE switch to the splitter's input port, then attach your 12V device to the 5.5×2.1mm DC jack; the step often missed is confirming the switch delivers 44–57V DC so the splitter can output 12V/1A.

What maintenance or replacement will the splitter need later?

The unit has no moving parts or filters; only the 5.5×2.1mm DC plug or Ethernet cables may wear over time and need replacement if they become loose or damaged.

What limit appears first under sustained use?

The 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port caps data throughput at 100 Mbps, so sustained traffic will hit that bandwidth ceiling before the 15.4W power budget is reached.
