Adds wired Gigabit Ethernet to any USB 3.0 port with driver-free setup and PXE support
This USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet adapter adds a wired network port to any computer with a USB 3.0 port. It supports 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps network speeds with automatic fallback to slower networks. Driver-free installation works natively on Chrome, Mac and Windows operating systems. The adapter enables Wake-on-LAN, full-duplex and half-duplex modes, auto MDIX, PXE boot and MAC address cloning.
The adapter uses a USB 3.0 connection rated at up to 5 Gbps to deliver full 1000 BASE-T throughput. Backwards compatibility keeps it working on 10 and 100 Mbps links without configuration. For best results a Cat 6 Ethernet cable is recommended, though the cable is not included. No external power supply is required.
Buyers who want a reliable wired connection in Wi-Fi dead zones or who need to replace a failed onboard NIC will find this adapter fits the task. It also serves well for PXE deployments and MAC cloning scenarios. Users without a USB 3.0 port or who require multi-gigabit speeds beyond 1000 Mbps should look at other solutions.

The adapter supports up to 1 Gbps Ethernet throughput, limited by the USB 3.0 link at 5 Gbps, so gigabit wired speeds are achievable with a Cat 6 cable.
It uses USB 3.0 with a 5 Gbps SuperSpeed ceiling, which is well above the 1 Gbps Ethernet rate, so the USB bus does not bottleneck gigabit traffic.
The adapter provides an RJ45 port; plug a Cat 6 Ethernet cable into it for the best gigabit performance.
