Adds tri-band Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 via PCIe with 320 MHz channels and 5.8 Gbps peak speed
The MSI HERALD-BE WIFI 7 MAX is a PCIe wireless adapter built for desktop PCs that need 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz connectivity. It uses the NCM865 module to deliver up to 5.8 Gbps throughput and adds Bluetooth 5.4 support. Windows 11 is required for Wi-Fi 7 operation, while Windows 10 handles earlier standards.
Moving from Wi-Fi 6 brings five times the network capacity through 320 MHz channel widths on the 6 GHz band and a shift from 1024-QAM to 4096-QAM modulation. Multi-Link Operation lets the adapter use multiple bands simultaneously, cutting latency for gaming or streaming. Systems staying on Windows 10 or lacking a 6 GHz router will not see the full jump.
The card occupies a standard PCI Express slot and ships with an external antenna, a USB 2.0 pin-header cable for Bluetooth, and an installation guide. Its compact 2.6 by 0.7 by 4.72 inch form factor fits most chassis without blocking adjacent slots. Builders needing internal antennas or a different bracket style should look elsewhere.

It fits a standard PCIe x1 or larger slot and occupies a single low-profile bracket; the external antenna base adds roughly 2.6 inches of clearance behind the case.
Plug the cable into a spare 9-pin USB 2.0 front-panel header; the step often missed is enabling the header in BIOS before Windows loads the Bluetooth stack.
Replace the antenna if the RP-SMA connector loosens or the hinge cracks, and swap the USB cable if the pin-header pins bend or the sheath frays.
