Direct replacement for HP OMEN 15 series

The KingSener SR04XL is a new lithium-ion laptop battery built to match the original HP part for OMEN 15-CE and 15-CB models. It delivers 15.4 V and 4550 mAh for 70.07 Wh of capacity using grade-A cells and a quality PCB. Compatible part numbers include HSTNN-DB7W, HSTNN-IB7Z, HSTNN-DB8Q, 917678-1B1, 917678-2B1, 917724-855, TPN-C133, TPN-C134, TPN-Q193 and TPN-Q194. Buyers who need a different voltage or connector layout should verify their original battery first.

Thermals and runtime stability

High-quality cells and the integrated PCB maintain stable voltage under load, reducing heat buildup during normal use. The pack is designed to run cool without active cooling, so fan behaviour stays consistent with the original battery. Calibration cycles of two to three full charge and discharge sequences help the firmware report accurate remaining capacity. Users who leave the AC adapter connected continuously will see faster wear, so the pack should be cycled occasionally.

Upgrade from degraded or failed original packs

This battery replaces an aged or swollen HP OMEN 15 unit that no longer holds charge or triggers shutdowns. The jump is worth it when runtime has dropped below useful levels or the system throttles due to voltage sag. It restores the factory 70.07 Wh specification without modification. Laptops with a different chassis or battery bay will not accept this pack.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SR04XL battery in my HP OMEN 15 and which step do people often miss?

Power off the laptop, unplug the AC adapter, remove the bottom case screws, disconnect the old battery cable, fit the new SR04XL, reconnect the cable, replace the case, then fully charge and discharge the battery two or three times to calibrate the gauge.

What maintenance will this 4550mAh Li-ion battery need later?

If the laptop will not be used for a while, charge the battery above 80 percent at least once a month, avoid leaving it plugged in continuously, and keep it away from hot or humid environments to preserve capacity.

What is the first limit I will hit during sustained heavy use of this 70.07Wh pack?

The 4550mAh capacity sets the runtime ceiling; under continuous high load the battery will deplete faster and its voltage will drop until the laptop shuts down or throttles to protect the cells.
