Wall-Mount Clawfoot Tub Faucet

The Kingston Brass AE553T8 is a brushed-nickel wall-mount faucet designed for clawfoot tub installations. It suits homeowners and plumbers fitting a traditional freestanding bath where supply lines run through the wall. The two-handle layout provides separate hot and cold control for precise temperature adjustment.

7-Inch Wall Mount Centers

The critical specification is the 7-inch center-to-center mounting distance between the hot and cold inlets. Measure the existing rough-in before purchase; if the openings are not spaced at this exact dimension the faucet will not align and an alternative spread will be required.

Brass Construction and Finish Durability

Solid brass construction resists corrosion and handles typical household water pressure without deformation. The brushed nickel finish withstands daily cleaning and hard water exposure while maintaining its appearance. No electronic components or moving cartridges are described, so operational noise is limited to normal water flow through the valve bodies.

Questions about this item

What does the Proposition 65 warning mean once the faucet is installed in my bathroom?

The warning indicates the faucet contains a chemical California recognises as a cancer risk and another chemical recognised as a reproductive-harm risk; both are present in the materials used to make the product.

How does the wall-mount interface limit the way the faucet connects to my plumbing?

The faucet is designed for wall mounting with a 7-inch centre spread, so the supply lines must terminate in the wall at that spacing rather than on the tub deck.

What physical space does the 7-inch wall-mount clawfoot tub faucet need to fit and mount securely?

It requires a 7-inch centre-to-centre hole spacing in the tub wall and enough clearance behind the wall for the supply connections and mounting hardware.
